Lindsay is a top-performing executive experienced in both nonprofit leadership positions and high-level management roles in the corporate arena. She began her career as a broadcast journalist, rising to VP of News at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis and KMGH-TV in Denver. At both stations, she led the newsroom and investigative teams to multiple national Emmys and Peabody Awards for their hard-hitting investigations.
Lindsay, the parent to a son with both Down syndrome and autism, left journalism to become the executive director at Adam’s Camp, a program that helps adults and children with disabilities reach their full potential through high-intensity therapy camps. Under her leadership, the organization launched new programing, formed a network of corporate sponsors and maximized community partnerships.
Always drawn to the media, Lindsay left Adam’s camp in 2020 to join Centura Health as the Director of External and Field Communications. Representing the largest hospital system in Colorado, Lindsay and her team lead the communication efforts surround COVID-19, vaccine rollouts and the lingering staffing challenge that continue to plague healthcare today.
Lindsay and her son, Noah, were introduced to the Learning Zone in the summer of 2020. For the first time, Noah had a team of teachers and speech therapists committed to using his talk pad. As a result, for the first time ever, her son could express his emotions, explain what happened during his day and communicate with strangers. The program has been lifechanging for Lindsay and her husband, Jason Foster, and their children Jackson, 15, Samantha, 12, and David, 7.
